Public-interest infrastructure, built in the open

NagorikBD was created to close a simple gap: citizens across Bangladesh often struggle to find timely, trustworthy information from a public service system spread across hundreds of disconnected websites and offices. It brings citizen services, climate and disaster intelligence, local government information, and an AI assistant into one coherent, district-by-district experience.

The platform is developed by Atlas AI Institute as a flagship demonstration of what responsible, applied AI governance can look like when it moves from research into daily civic life. Rather than treating artificial intelligence as an abstract policy subject, NagorikBD uses it as working infrastructure — answering citizen questions, surfacing weather and river data, and organizing public information into a form people can actually use.
